Assistive Technology Awareness Month
A month promoting awareness of assistive technology, tools that help people with disabilities live, learn, and work more independently. For autistic people, AT includes AAC devices, visual schedules, sensory tools, and organizational apps.
History
We use March to highlight assistive technology. In the US, the federal Assistive Technology Act provides a grant to each state, the District of Columbia, and the territories for a State AT Program, whose activities include device demonstration and device loan.
How to Participate
