Learning Disabilities Awareness Month
A month recognizing learning disabilities including dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia — conditions that frequently co-occur with autism. Understanding learning differences helps educators and families provide appropriate support.
History
Learning Disabilities Awareness Month has been observed in October in the US since the 1980s. The Learning Disabilities Association of America leads national awareness efforts.
