Third week of March
Neurodiversity Celebration Week
A worldwide initiative to transform how neurodivergent individuals are viewed and supported, challenging stereotypes and celebrating the talents and strengths of people who think differently. Schools, universities, and workplaces participate globally.
History
Neurodiversity Celebration Week was founded by Siena Castellon, an autistic teenager, in 2018 at her secondary school in the UK. It has since grown into a global movement with thousands of participating institutions.
How to Participate
- →Organize a neurodiversity event at your school or workplace
- →Highlight neurodivergent strengths alongside support needs — not one without the other
- →Invite autistic and neurodivergent speakers to share their experiences
- →Review hiring and educational practices for unintentional barriers to neurodivergent people
- →Share resources about the full range of neurodivergence: autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and more
