Better Hearing and Speech Month
A month recognizing the importance of communication and the professionals who support it, particularly relevant to the autism community, where speech-language pathologists play a central role in communication support.
History
Each May, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) uses this month, long known as Better Hearing and Speech Month and now called National Speech-Language-Hearing Month, to raise awareness about communication disorders and the professionals who treat them.
