World AAC Day
An awareness day focused on Augmentative and Alternative Communication, highlighting the intersection of autism and communication access. AAC users lead the day's advocacy.
History
October is International AAC Awareness Month, which the International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ISAAC) established in 2007. We mark October 2 within that month as a day to spotlight AAC users and communication access.
