Savant syndrome describes rare cases where a person has an exceptional, highly specific skill, such as calendar calculation or musical recall, that stands out sharply from their other abilities. It occurs in a small minority of autistic people.

Common Misconception
Most autistic people are not savants, and autism does not come with a hidden genius power. Expecting a special talent can make ordinary autistic people feel they are failing at being autistic.
